Hemmings Blog “An open house, literally, full of goodies” at The Himes Museum, Sunday, 8/28/11

The Hemming Blog provides this heads-up for the "Old Timer's Day" at The Marty Himes Museum of Motor Racing Nostalgia on Sunday, August 28, 2011:

Regular readers of Hemmings Motor News will recall us introducing in the January 2009 issue the remarkable Long Island Racing Museum that former driver and raconteur extraordinaire Marty Himes runs out of his little Cape Cod house in Bay Shore, Suffolk County. Marty hosts an annual open house and gathering of racing figures from the past, which this year, will be on Sunday, August 28, from 10 a.m. until dusk.

The location is 15 O’Neill Avenue. Like most things Marty does, it’s out of love, so there’s no admission or other costs. For info, call Marty at 631-666-4912.
